Choose the Animal (Quiz)

1. We have the loudest roar of any big cat! You can hear us roar up to 5 miles away! The males among us have thick manes to help protect us while we fight.

2. We have unique stripes. None of us share the same stripe pattern. We can roar loud, but other animals can roar even louder.

3. We have massive ears, but do you know why? Our huge ears keep us cool. When it’s hot, we flap our ears like fans.

4. We come in many sizes. Some of us are as big as a small car. Some of us are the size of a big dog.

5. We are amazing swimmers. We love water and can swim very, very far distances.

6. We hibernate during the winter. This is when we sleep for months at a time and don’t eat, drink, or go to the bathroom! Our bodies go into a super-sleep mode to save energy until spring.

7. We have the longest noses in the animal kingdom. We use them to pick up tiny peanuts, drink water, and even give ourselves a shower!

8. We are champion sleepers. We spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping or resting.
