The Societal Effects of Social Distancing (rewrite)
Some people claim that Father God made humankind while others maintain that Mother Earth is our divine creator. Still, others profess that the two deities are one and the same. Regardless of who or how humans came into existence, we are social creatures who make peace by shaking hands, hugging necks, and kissing cheeks. If we cannot make peace, what can we make? Social distancing may cause unhealthy social division, dangerous social unrest, and bloody civil war.
Discussion
Humans have never social distanced even when there was plenty of space to do so. The Prehistoric Cavemen gathered together in caves, huddling, and cuddling, and trying to keep warm. They would not have survived otherwise, and we, as human beings, will not survive if we continue to allow the social engineers to deprive us of the natural need to socialize, to touch each other, to smile at each other, and to smell each other’s breath.
Indeed, we will spread diseases. The Cavemen did so, and our descendants will do so, too. The German philosopher, Fredrick Nietzsche, said, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger” (Fredrick Nietzsche, 1888). Our ancestors have been fighting bad bugs for thousands of years, and they never needed to social distance. They caught those bugs, shook them off, and passed on their immunity to their children. We are so strong because we faces our foes! Human beings will survive and thrive regardless of how wickedly the social engineers attempt to tame us!
Social distancing will kill the true king of the beasts, humankind, and replace us with a docile creature who needs to be told when to leave home, or go to church, or show our smiling faces in public without being shamed for not wearing a mask. We are not meant to social distance. Instead, we are designed, either by Father God or by Mother Earth, to be fighters of big bad beasts and even tiny little bugs we cannot see.
Exercising, proper eating, refraining from smoking and toking, and living according to the forces of Nature and of the world are the natural behaviors that make people less susceptible to viral infections. These stoic principles, however, are antithetical to the silly ideas of the social engineers who would rather we only leave home to gather groceries, liquor, tobacco, marijuana, and plenty of toilet paper before returning home, mixing a drink, lighting a smoke, and logging in to our favorite social media sites where we can practice social distance under the watchful eyes of the artificial intelligence (AI) whom I call Big Brother.
Conclusion
We must remember that we are a part of Mother Earth, not apart from her. The social engineers have decided that because of the bad bug going around, we must stop being the social creatures Mother Earth intended us to be and, instead, become the social distancers they want us to become. Some people may feel fine with this, but, as for me, my social distancing principles will remain based on my God whom I call Mother Earth.
